Creative Coding (6 - 8 years)

Did you know coding is on the curriculum from 5+?

MAMA.codes offers fun and creative after-school coding clubs that support the Computing curriculum. Our unique approach to teaching coding and computational thinking is the ideal launchpad for young children. We use storytelling and jokes to build fluency, plus plenty of “unplugged” physical coding games. We use the tablet-based free coding app “ScratchJr” – so it’s helpful if children bring an iPad or Android tablet with them (kindly ensure that the tablet is fully charged and that the Scratchjr app is installed and functioning prior to class). Children learn generic coding concepts they can then transfer to any other coding language.

Maths Support Programme
(Key Stage 1 and 2)

Children struggling with certain subjects can find every day schooling a challenge, which can in turn affect their self-esteem. Our after school Maths programme (For Key stage 1 and 2) doesn’t push or put pressure on children to exceed beyond expectations; it just helps those struggling a little with maths, to feel more confident in their own abilities. Our relaxed small group programme (of no more than 4 children per group) allows those participating to develop their mathematical skills and confidence, in an informal setting, alongside other children of similar levels, away from the pressures of school.

When: Wednesdays at 4.15pm and 5.30pm
Price: £170 for a 6 week course
