Parent ADHD / Neurodiversity Coaching
We provide online Neurodiversity Coaching specifically for parents and carers of children who have been diagnosed with, or are awaiting assessment for, ADHD, autism, dyslexia and/or dyspraxia. Sessions are held with the parent or carer only, without the child present, and provide personalised guidance and practical strategies to help you better understand and support your child’s individual needs.
What is Parent ADHD/Neurodiversity Coaching?
ADHD/Neurodiversity Coaching is designed specifically for parents and carers who would like support in better understanding and responding to their child’s individual needs. Sessions take place with the parent or carer only, without the child present, providing a confidential space to discuss your child’s strengths, challenges and everyday experiences.
Coaching can help you develop a greater understanding of how your child’s ADHD or neurodivergence may affect areas such as attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, behaviour, routines, learning and relationships. Together with your coach, you can explore practical strategies that can be introduced at home and, where appropriate, shared with school.
ADHD/Neurodiversity Coaching is a collaborative, practical and goal-oriented process. Rather than providing therapy directly to your child, sessions focus on equipping you as a parent with greater understanding, confidence and practical tools to support them. Your coach will work with you to identify the areas that are currently creating the greatest challenges for your child or family and develop realistic approaches that fit your circumstances.
Every child and family is different, so sessions are individually tailored. You may wish to explore areas such as morning and bedtime routines, homework and organisation, emotional regulation, motivation, boundaries, managing overwhelm, friendships or supporting your child at school. Coaching can also provide a helpful space to reflect on what is and is not working, adapt your approach and develop strategies that recognise and build upon your child’s individual strengths.
